Florida’s section of the Intracoastal Waterway adds scenic beauty to our area, hugging the Atlantic seaboard with long stretches of marsh land and wide rivers.
It is no surprise that after roadway expansion connected Downtown to the Beaches, the region now called Intracoastal West has been rapidly growing with new communities.
Residents who have a love of water sports enjoy easy access to the Intracoastal for boating or fishing, and only a short drive over the bridge to surf in the Atlantic Ocean—a major selling point for this area. Intracoastal West is one of the newest residential areas of the city with the addition of new schools, top-rated medical centers, and shopping districts in recent years.
The neighborhoods in and around the Intracoastal range from condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes to luxury waterfront estates and multi-million dollar residences. Luxury homes in this area are mostly new construction within beautifully planned developments, such as Pablo Creek Reserve, Marina San Pablo, Aphora at Marina San Pablo, Terra Costa, Glen Kernan, Queen’s Harbour, Highland Glen, Palermo, Jacksonville Golf and Country Club, and many more.
